Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Managing Director to join our Economic Litigation & Labor Economics Consulting practice at StoneTurn.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced economic consulting services, including labor economics and commercial litigation matters, to support expert witness opinions in various court venues.
  • Effectively plan and manage client engagements, including drafting expert reports, financial analysis, and exhibits, as well as leading meetings with clients.
  • Oversee the production of high-quality work products on a timely basis, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Execute multiple priorities and projects daily, delegating responsibilities as needed to engagement team members at various levels of experience.
  • Ensure adherence to quality control processes on all engagements.
  • Facilitate client and internal team meetings to document client objectives and requirements, leading to thoughtful action and execution resulting in superior work products.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure overall satisfaction, reporting progress internally and externally as necessary.
  • Lead and participate in marketing and business development initiatives, developing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Mentor and develop Managers, Senior Consultants, and Consultants by providing coaching, timely performance feedback, training, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Foster a positive, efficient, and team-oriented work environment.
Requirements
  • Advanced degree in economics, finance, or statistics, with a PhD in economics preferred.
  • Significant prior experience in economic consulting and labor economics disputes, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in economic consulting.
  • Proficiency in statistical tools, such as STATA, Visual Basic, or SAS, and applying them to complex dispute matters.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent oral communication skills and proficiency in technical writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to structure and perform technical projects, manage client expectations, and relationships.
  • Excellent prioritization skills.
  • Commitment to exemplary client service delivery.
Desirable Qualifications
  • PhD in economics, statistics, or finance.
  • Testimony experience and experience in litigation consulting.
  • Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python and R.
  • Network of relationships within law firms and corporate legal departments.
  • Professional designation(s).
