Position Summary:

The Quality Assurance Inspector plays a vital role in ensuring that rupture discs and their accessories comply with established guidelines as outlined in manufacturing procedures, technical drawings, national standards, and customer specifications. This is achieved through various inspection processes, including receiving inspection, in-process checks, and final evaluations, as well as the calibration of precision measuring instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to written company protocols and relevant certification standards to verify that all fabricated and machined products meet the required specifications.
  • Conduct receiving inspections for all incoming parts.
  • Perform initial and ongoing inspections in the CNC production area to ensure compliance.
  • Carry out final inspections of all products before packaging and shipment.
  • Document and manage non-conforming parts, directing them to the appropriate holding area.
  • Calibrate and maintain the inventory of measuring tools, including pressure gauges and control devices.
  • Record inspection data accurately in the computer system.
  • Develop and update non-conformance reports on a weekly basis.
  • Execute additional tasks as required based on operational needs.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED is required; an associate's degree in Industrial Technology or a related field is preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Intermediate mathematical and reading comprehension skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with applicable certification standards and codes.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.

  • Vision requirements include acuity of 20/30 or better.
