The Quality Assurance Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring that rupture discs and their accessories comply with established guidelines as outlined in manufacturing procedures, drawings, national standards, customer specifications, and other relevant requirements. This is primarily achieved through receiving inspections, in-process evaluations, and final assessments, along with the calibration of precision measuring instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

· Adhere to written company protocols and relevant external certification standards to guarantee that all fabricated and machined products, holders, and accessories meet the specified drawings, work orders, and customer requirements.

· Conduct receiving inspections for all incoming parts.

· Verify that parts produced in the CNC area are manufactured correctly through initial and ongoing inspections.

· Perform final inspections on all products before packaging and shipment.

· Route accepted items to the next stage of processing.

· Document any non-conforming parts or products and direct them to the designated holding area.

· Calibrate and maintain an inventory of measuring equipment, including pressure, control, and computer gauges.

· Track and input inspection data into the computer system.

· Develop non-conformance charts and provide weekly updates.

· Undertake additional duties as assigned based on workload and business needs.

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or GED is required; an associate's degree in Industrial Technology or a related field is preferred.

Technical Skills:

· Proficient in reading blueprints.

· Intermediate mathematical skills.

· Intermediate reading comprehension skills.

· Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

· Familiarity with applicable certification standards and codes.

· Competent in using computers, including company ERP systems, Microsoft Windows, and Office applications.

Physical Requirements:

· Adequate manual dexterity for computer use.

· Ability to sit for extended periods, up to 8 hours daily.

· Frequently required to stand and/or walk for up to 2 hours daily.

· Capability to lift up to 50 pounds as necessary.

· Must wear all required personal protective equipment in the manufacturing area.

· Vision requirements include acuity of 20/30 or better in either eye.
