Position Summary:

The Quality Assurance Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring that rupture discs and their accessories adhere to established guidelines as specified by manufacturing protocols, technical drawings, national standards, and customer requirements. This responsibility encompasses receiving inspections, in-process evaluations, and final assessments, as well as the calibration of precision measuring instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to documented company procedures and relevant certification standards to confirm that all manufactured and machined products meet the required specifications.
  • Conduct thorough receiving inspections of all incoming parts.
  • Perform initial and ongoing inspections in the CNC area to verify proper production.
  • Execute final inspections of all products before they are packaged and dispatched.
  • Direct accepted components and products to the subsequent processing stage.
  • Document any non-conforming items and manage their routing to the designated holding area.
  • Calibrate and maintain an inventory of measuring tools, including pressure gauges and control instruments.
  • Input and track inspection data within the computer system.
  • Develop non-conformance reports and provide weekly updates.
  • Undertake additional tasks as required based on workload and business needs.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED; an associate's degree in Industrial Technology or a related field is preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in reading technical blueprints.
  • Intermediate mathematical and reading comprehension skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with applicable certification standards and codes.
  • Basic computer skills sufficient for using ERP systems and Microsoft Office.

Physical Requirements:

  • Manual dexterity for computer use.

  • Compliance with personal protective equipment requirements in the manufacturing area.
  • Vision acuity of 20/30 or better in either eye.
