The Quality Control Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing Quality Control operations at the Liberty, MO facility. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Manufacturing - Disc and receiving guidance from the Vice President of Global Quality and Certifications, this leadership position is essential for ensuring that all products meet stringent customer and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of Receiving, In-process, and Final Inspection.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures as outlined in the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Collaborate with the QA Manager to update and refine QMS documentation.
  • Co-Chair the Corrective Action Board (CAB) to address product quality issues promptly.
  • Represent Quality Control during regulatory audits and third-party inspections.
  • Conduct internal audits as scheduled to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Facilitate resolution of quality-related issues in collaboration with manufacturing, engineering, and suppliers.
  • Supervise and mentor quality control inspectors, providing performance evaluations and support.
  • Contribute to budgeting and long-term planning for the Quality Control Department.
  • Maintain calibration and control systems for precision measuring and testing equipment.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for employees to enhance quality awareness.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A background as a Quality Control Manager or a degree in a related field with experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing context.
  • Knowledge of welding, calibration, inspection methodologies, and manufacturing processes.
  • A minimum of two years of management or supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or similar problem-solving methodologies.
  • Relevant certifications such as ASQ CQE, CQA, or CQM are preferred.
Skills

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Proficiency in using ERP systems and MS Office for data analysis.
  • Understanding of process improvement techniques (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements

The role may require periods of sitting or standing, along with walking throughout the day.
