Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a Quality Control Plan (QCP) that meets UFGS requirements.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for all QC activities, such as daily logs, inspection reports, and test results.
  • Ensure all project documentation is current and easily accessible for review.
  • Conduct pre-work inspections to confirm materials and equipment meet project specifications.
  • Monitor and inspect all work phases, including repairing the sump tank liner and installing chiller systems.
  • Coordinate and oversee testing of materials and systems to ensure compliance with project specifications and UFGS standards.
  • Implement and maintain site-specific safety and health plans.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
  • Perform regular safety inspections, and audits, and provide safety training to project personnel.
  • Investigate and report safety incidents or near-misses, and maintain daily safety logs.
Requirements
  • OSHA 30-hour certification
  • USACE CQM Certification
  • Hands-on experience with Procore and RMS software
  • Proficient in using Word, Excel, and PDF
  • Demonstrated track record as a QC/SSHO on federal projects
  • Profound understanding of quality control procedures and legal standards
  • Expertise in safety regulations and procedures
  • Strong focus on detail and adept at problem-solving
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Effective communication and training abilities
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds.

Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife.
