Compensation:

$110,000 - $130,000 annually, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance Oversight:

Project Planning and Record Keeping:

  • Develop and execute a Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) that aligns with UFGS requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for all QA activities, including daily logs, inspection reports, and test results.
  • Ensure all project documentation is current and readily available for review.

Inspection and Evaluation:

  • Conduct pre-work inspections to confirm that all materials and equipment meet project specifications.
  • Monitor and evaluate all stages of work, including the restoration of the sump tank liner and the installation of temporary and permanent chiller systems.
  • Coordinate and supervise testing of materials and systems to ensure adherence to project specifications and UFGS standards.

Site Safety and Health Management:

  • Implement and uphold site-specific safety and health protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
  • Provide safety training and guidance to all project personnel.
  • Investigate and document any safety incidents or near-misses.
  • Maintain daily safety logs.
Qualifications:
  • OSHA 30-hour certification.
  • USACE CQM Certification.
  • Experience with Procore and RMS.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PDF.
  • Demonstrated experience as a QA/SSHO on similar federal projects.
  • Thorough understanding of quality assurance procedures and legal standards.
  • Expertise in safety regulations and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Effective communication and training capabilities.
  • As a condition of employment, candidates may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results.

Physical Requirements:

This role necessitates the ability to navigate work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with colleagues and clients. Essential functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for extended periods; frequent opportunities to move about and work outdoors for prolonged periods, facing various weather conditions, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If necessary, candidates must utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, including hard hats, steel-toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. A constant state of mental alertness is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Working Conditions:

The job is performed in a mix of office and outdoor site environments. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and necessitates extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings involve walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons, with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise may occur.
