Purpose and Scope

The Regional Sales Manager (Contract Management & GPO) will play a key role in driving growth within the contract managed and group purchasing organization channels. This individual will collaborate closely with the Sr. Director of CMC/GPO to develop and implement strategic plans to capitalize on opportunities for growth within defined customer groups, while mitigating existing risk to the business.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive growth within the CMC/GPO channel, with a focus on prepared and fresh products.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key CMC/GPO accounts, brokers, and other stakeholders to drive business growth and revenue.
  3. Represent Pilgrim's as the subject matter expert within the CMC/GPO channel, providing thought leadership and guidance to internal teams and external partners.
  4. Develop and manage a bid and contract pipeline to ensure timely and effective execution of sales and marketing strategies.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business results, including demand planning, supply chain, and marketing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in CPG foodservice, with a focus on contract management and group purchasing organizations.
  • Non-commercial CMC/GPO experience required; prior poultry experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining business relationships with key CMC/GPO accounts.
  • Extensive travel required (50%+).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse groups of individuals within and outside of the company.
