KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitates Associate and Labor Relations by guiding associates at all levels on company policies, procedures, union agreements, grievances, and benefits. Organizes labor management discussions and associate engagement initiatives.
  • Ensures adherence to local, state, and federal regulations alongside company policies. Maintains compliance with record-keeping, retention, and HRIS tracking.
  • Manages disciplinary action approvals. Assists with Payroll, Leave of Absence/ADA management, terminations, and exit interviews.
  • Provides guidance and recommends solutions for both union and non-union associate/supervisor issues.
  • Addresses Open Door, diversity, and related concerns effectively.
  • Conducts interventions, investigations, and resolves conflicts as they arise. Offers counseling and resources for work-life balance.
  • Promotes the effective training and development of supervisors and associates on the operational floor.
  • Conducts orientations for new hires as necessary. Oversees, mentors, and delivers both technical and non-technical training for Distribution Center Supervisors and non-exempt associates.
  • Offers coaching, facilitates discussions, and provides recommendations for the development needs of non-exempt associates and D/C Supervisors.
  • Collaborates with coach trainers, D/C Supervisors, and associates to address operational matters, including work methods, productivity, and new hire follow-ups.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 2-4 years in HR Business Partner or Labor Relations roles.
  • Solid understanding of HR and labor regulations.
  • Proven capability to manage confidential information.
  • Experience working with unions is essential.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in coaching and counseling.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and Payroll Systems, including Kronos and Oracle, is preferred.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts based on business requirements.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
