Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll and HR Assistant to join our team at Real Property Services Corp. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and providing administrative support to our management team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Processing: Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Administrative Support: Provide clerical support in the administration of company leave policies, and leave pursuant to federal and state Family Medical Leave Act.
  • Payroll Audits: Perform periodic audits to verify company policies and procedures are maintained.
  • Project Support: Work closely with management team members to complete various projects.
  • HR Support: Provide assistance with researching issues in Payroll and HR systems.
  • Verification of Employment: Complete and answer requests for verification of employment.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information.
  • Document Management: Copy, file, and fax documents as requested.
Requirements
  • Payroll Knowledge: Some knowledge of the payroll function, including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, including spreadsheet and word document software.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively present information to team members and management.
Education and Experience

We require at least 3 years of recent payroll compliance and HRIS experience. Recent and proficient skills and experience with Microsoft Suite software are essential. A High School diploma or equivalent is required, and some college education is preferred.
