Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of manufacturing methodologies, assembly documentation, and bill of materials to develop comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including Sequence of Events (S.O.E.) and Assembly Process Workflows.
  • Provide technical guidance and hands-on training to production personnel.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee the manufacturing engineering aspects of system builds.
  • Draft and revise work instructions, BOM structures, and training materials.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination across various disciplines on projects.
  • Engage with customers and vendor representatives, participating in relevant meetings.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and customers to identify best practices aimed at optimizing build processes.
  • Conduct inspections of completed systems, working closely with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Support production efforts to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
  • Investigate and resolve customer or internal issues, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Assist in cost estimation and the development of capital project proposals for new equipment and major repairs.
  • Evaluate and process Engineering Change Orders.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary, with attendance being a critical aspect of this role.
Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
  • Experience with semiconductor capital equipment is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in electronic work instruction software is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
  • Prior experience in leading small teams towards successful project outcomes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working independently or collaboratively.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or an Associate's degree in a technical field with over 5 years of manufacturing experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-technology manufacturing, ideally within the semiconductor capital equipment sector.
  • Familiarity with quick-turn, engineer-to-order environments.
Work Environment:

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to kneel, reach, walk, push, pull, and grasp.
