Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer II to enhance our operations and drive quality in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize extensive knowledge of manufacturing methodologies, assembly documentation, and bill of materials to develop comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including Sequence of Events (S.O.E.) and Assembly Process Workflows.
  • Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to production personnel.
  • Coordinate and oversee the manufacturing engineering aspects of system builds, ensuring efficiency and adherence to timelines.
  • Prepare and revise work instructions, BOM structures, and training materials to support production efforts.
  • Facilitate effective communication and interdisciplinary collaboration on projects.
  • Engage with customers and vendor representatives, participating in meetings to discuss project requirements and updates.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to identify best practices aimed at optimizing build processes.
  • Conduct inspections of completed systems, partnering with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Support production initiatives to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
  • Investigate and resolve customer or internal issues, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Assist in cost estimation and the development of capital project proposals for new equipment and major repairs.
  • Evaluate and process Engineering Change Orders as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as required, with attendance being a critical aspect of this role.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing Principles and Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
  • Experience with semiconductor capital equipment is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in electronic Work Instruction software is a plus.
  • Strong skills in ERP System Software.
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience leading small teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.

Educational Background:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred, along with 2 years of relevant experience; or an Associate degree in a technical field with over 5 years of manufacturing experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in high-technology manufacturing, ideally within the semiconductor capital equipment sector.
  • Familiarity with quick-turn, engineer-to-order environments is beneficial.

Work Environment:

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to kneel, reach, walk, push, pull, and grasp.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Capacity to sit for extended periods, with intermittent standing and bending.
  • Personal protective equipment may be required.
  • Subject to interruptions during work hours.
