Overview of the Global Human Resources Associate Development Program

As a Summer Associate, you will engage in a structured curriculum designed to lay a solid foundation for your career.

Internship Program Overview

The Global Human Resources Summer Associate Development Program is a 10-week internship that provides insight into Bank of America and GHR. Our aim is to enhance your academic background by developing technical skills, industry knowledge, and familiarity with a corporate setting.

Your professional growth is our priority, with extensive formal training at the program's onset, supplemented by on-the-job support, events, and mentorship throughout your internship. Opportunities include:

A Day in the Life

GHR internships last 10 weeks and align our human capital strategy with business objectives, enabling the company to connect with clients by attracting, developing, and retaining top talent. As a Summer Associate, you will be assigned to a specific team where your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting business and GHR initiatives that foster a positive work environment
  • Engaging with senior HR leaders to understand the strategic role of HR in business decisions
  • Contributing to business advisory, operations, HR processes, and special projects

GHR Opportunities

The GHR Program assigns participants to various teams within the organization. Rotations may include roles in HR functions such as HR business partner/generalists, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Employee Relations, Diversity & Inclusion, HR Process & Operations, and Learning & Business Performance.

Our objective is to provide meaningful and relevant assignments based on current business needs while considering participants' skill sets; therefore, specific functional assignments cannot be guaranteed.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years of relevant full-time work experience is required
  • Candidates must be pursuing an MBA or Master's degree from an accredited institution
  • Common fields of study include industrial or organizational psychology, human resources management, communications, and related disciplines
  • Candidates should demonstrate intellectual curiosity, a commitment to operational excellence, and a focus on achieving sustainable results
  • Strong academic and technical skills in Microsoft Office are essential, along with proficiency in leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, analytical skills, and professional communication
  • Bank of America is unable to consider candidates requiring visa sponsorship for this role
