Overview of the Global Human Resources Summer Analyst Program

Global Human Resources (GHR) spearheads the company's initiatives to foster a positive work environment for all employees by emphasizing the recognition and reward of performance, providing opportunities for professional development, cultivating an inclusive workplace for our global team, and promoting the financial, physical, and emotional well-being of our employees.

Internship Program Overview

The Global Human Resources Summer Analyst Program spans 10 weeks and will familiarize you with Bank of America and the GHR division. Our objective for summer interns is to enhance their academic background—specifically technical abilities, industry insights, and exposure to a corporate setting—while aligning their career pursuits with their interests and qualifications.

Your training and development are our primary focus, featuring extensive formal training at the program's outset, complemented by on-the-job support, events, and mentorship throughout. Opportunities include, but are not limited to:

  • Bank-provided training sessions covering Mechanics of the Bank, Data Literacy, Executive Presentation Skills, and more.

A Day in the Life

GHR internships last 10 weeks and align our human capital strategy with the business strategy, enabling the organization to connect with customers and clients by attracting, developing, and retaining a world-class workforce to drive growth at Bank of America. As a Summer Analyst, you will be assigned to a specific team where your key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting business lines and Global Human Resources initiatives that enhance the workplace environment, ensuring all employees have the opportunity to achieve their aspirations.
  • Engaging with senior HR leaders to gain insights into how HR influences critical business decisions and acts as a strategic partner across the organization.
  • Contributing directly to business advisory, operational processes, HR functions, and special projects.

GHR Opportunities

The GHR Program assigns interns to various teams across the business lines. Internship roles may include positions such as:

Enterprise Compensation Analyst, Diversity & Inclusion Analyst, Project Analyst, Employee Relations Analyst, Talent Acquisition Analyst, and Academy Program Design Analyst.

*Intern team assignments are determined based on business needs and aligned with individual skill sets; therefore, specific placements cannot be guaranteed.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must be pursuing an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution. Eligible candidates should have a graduation date within a specified timeframe.
  • Common fields of study include, but are not limited to: Business, Industrial or Organizational Psychology, Human Resources Management, Industrial and Labor Relations, Organizational Development, Economics, or related disciplines.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.2 is preferred.
  • Candidates should demonstrate a high level of intellectual curiosity, a commitment to operational excellence, and a focus on achieving sustainable outcomes.
  • Additionally, students should possess strong academic and technical skills in Microsoft Office, as well as demonstrate proficiency in leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, analytical skills, verbal and written communication, and professionalism.
