Internship Program Details
The Global Human Resources Summer Analyst Program spans 10 weeks and serves as an introduction to Bank of America and the GHR division. Our aim for summer interns is to enhance their academic background—specifically in technical skills, industry knowledge, and familiarity with a corporate setting—while pursuing their career aspirations based on their interests and qualifications.
Your training and development are our foremost priority, featuring extensive formal training at the program's outset, complemented by on-the-job support, events, and mentorship throughout the internship. Opportunities include but are not limited to:
- Bank-sponsored training sessions covering the Mechanics of the Bank, Data Literacy, Executive Presentation Skills, and more.
- Intern Mentorship Program.
- Enterprise Executive Speaker Series.

A Typical Day
GHR internships last for 10 weeks and align our human capital strategy with the business strategy, enabling the organization to connect with customers and clients by attracting, developing, and retaining a top-tier workforce to drive growth at Bank of America. As a Summer Analyst, you will be assigned to a specific team where your primary responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting business lines and Global Human Resources initiatives that enhance the workplace environment for all employees, allowing them to achieve their objectives.
- Engaging with senior HR leaders to gain insights into how HR influences key business decisions and acts as a strategic partner across the organization.
- Contributing directly to business advisory, operational processes, HR functions, and special projects.
GHR Internship Opportunities
The GHR Program allocates interns to various teams within the business lines. Internship roles may include positions such as:
Enterprise Compensation Analyst, Diversity & Inclusion Analyst, Project Analyst, Employee Relations Analyst, Talent Acquisition Analyst, and Academy Program Design Analyst.
*Internship assignments are determined based on business requirements and aligned with individual skill sets, and therefore cannot be guaranteed.
Candidate Qualifications
- Candidates must be pursuing an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution. Eligible candidates should have a graduation date within a specified timeframe.
- Preferred fields of study include, but are not limited to: Business, Industrial or Organizational Psychology, Human Resources Management, Industrial and Labor Relations, Organizational Development, Economics, or related disciplines.
- A minimum GPA of 3.2 is preferred.
- Candidates should demonstrate a strong intellectual curiosity, a commitment to operational excellence, and a focus on achieving sustainable outcomes.
- Additionally, students should possess solid academic and technical skills in Microsoft Office, along with proficiencies in leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, analytical skills, verbal and written communication, and professionalism.
