The Senior Client Relationship Manager is responsible for fostering strong client connections by effectively supporting the Employee Benefits (EB) Consultants in delivering exceptional customer service and renewal assistance for a designated portfolio of accounts, including those that are larger and more intricate, such as self-funded medical plans. This role will oversee quality assurance initiatives and ensure that Client Service personnel are well-informed and engaged in ongoing improvement efforts. Additionally, this position will mentor Client Services staff to promote accurate and efficient job performance.

Expertise in Benefits: Maintain an in-depth understanding of group health plans, life insurance, and disability coverage. Comprehend the individual benefit plan counterparts. Research, gather, and apply group health and wellness insights tailored to specific client requirements, staying updated on industry trends and interpreting the implications of market and regulatory changes on clients' plans. Maintain a solid grasp of compliance issues and mandates related to insurance plans, administration, testing, and adherence.

Client-Centric Approach: Take pride in understanding and collaborating with clients to cultivate robust, long-lasting relationships.

Act as the primary contact and resource for plan sponsors, addressing participant inquiries related to enrollment, coverage, and other pertinent questions.

Coordinate service and support efforts with other team members and EB Consultants as necessary. Direct complex or unique inquiries to EB Consultants or the Senior Director of Client Support Services when required.
Collaborate with the Employee Benefits team to identify and resolve client issues and concerns. Implement identified solutions and ensure that future conflicts or concerns are minimized.

Effective Task Management: Utilize sound time and project management skills to track, prioritize, and complete multiple assigned tasks in a dynamic environment with various distractions (phone calls, meetings, etc.).

Team Collaboration: Excel in a collaborative environment that involves close cooperation with colleagues to achieve both client and internal objectives.

Independent Thinking: Leverage expertise and creativity to develop client-specific solutions.

Commitment to Continuous Learning: Continuously enhance knowledge and expertise through self-directed research and study.

Minimum Qualifications:
Achieving the competencies outlined above typically requires formal education and practical experience. At a minimum, we seek candidates with a high school diploma, coupled with at least five (5) years of relevant experience in benefits administration or a related field. A Bachelor's Degree or post-secondary education in business, human resources, finance, or a related discipline may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Additional Requirements:
Due to occasional travel by vehicle and access to client sites and sensitive information, a safe driving record and the ability to pass a background check are required.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
The position primarily involves working in an office setting. Physical demands include frequent listening, talking, walking, sitting, standing, and occasionally lifting light loads (rarely exceeding 25 lbs.), entering and exiting vehicles, typing on keyboards, and operating various office equipment. Local travel by vehicle is frequent, with occasional air travel within and outside the state.

Salary: $70,000-$105,000 DOE
