Role Overview

As a vital member of the ArcBest Sales team, you will engage in various activities aimed at enhancing customer relationships and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate effective sales strategies while gaining a deep understanding of clients' operational frameworks.
  • Recognize client challenges and devise tailored solutions to foster opportunities.
  • Conduct sales outreach and presentations to a diverse clientele.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships while providing exceptional customer engagement.
  • Stay informed about industry competitors, emerging products, and market trends to better address client needs.
  • Facilitate both virtual and in-person meetings with clients.
  • Proactively seek new clients through networking and referrals.
  • Acquire and nurture new accounts by leveraging company methodologies.
  • Enhance knowledge of ArcBest's service offerings to better serve clients.
  • Collaborate with clients, management, and various departments within ArcBest.
  • Negotiate service specifications and pricing, establishing comprehensive service packages.
  • Develop customized service solutions for unique client challenges and initiate pricing discussions.
  • Assist with the collection process and prevent cargo claims as necessary.
  • Maintain precise account information within the ArcBest database.
  • Prepare monthly sales audit and expense reports in accordance with company policies.
  • Complete required itineraries and call reports following company and IRS guidelines.
  • Engage in phone and email communications to identify opportunities, resolve issues, and strengthen business relationships.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service consistently.
  • Maintain a positive, client-centric attitude in a dynamic environment.
  • Interact professionally and courteously with all colleagues and clients.
  • Collaborate within a team to achieve shared objectives.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Work Schedule: This position typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule, with standard hours of operation, though flexibility may be required based on workload.
