Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HVAC/Mechanical Project Sales Representative to join our team. This role demands the ability to identify and qualify prospects within assigned accounts, deliver compelling sales presentations, and effectively address customer inquiries and objections.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Proactively schedule appointments and manage time efficiently to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Conduct persuasive sales presentations that resonate with customers and uncover opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Generate consistent revenue through a proven track record of success. Understand the customer's organizational structure and decision-making process, guiding them towards a clear timeline for action.
  • Possess a strong understanding of commercial HVAC mechanical systems and provide customers with tailored solutions; identify project opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with the Operations Department to effectively communicate customer needs and expectations to both parties.
  • Work seamlessly with Building Automation and Client Services sales representatives to execute team selling strategies when appropriate.
  • Leverage vertical market strategies and market insights to identify opportunities within existing customer bases.
  • Utilize a compelling value proposition to capture customer interest.
  • Analyze job conditions and determine appropriate maintenance requirements.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and objections with professionalism and responsibility.
  • Identify customer needs and effectively address their concerns.
  • Deliver engaging product demonstrations.
  • Handle objections effectively and confidently.
  • Articulate the conceptual value proposition and return on investment to customers.
  • Comprehend company credit policies.
  • Coordinate project work with multiple subcontractors and equipment representatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of proven sales experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with commercial HVAC systems.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record.
