Position Overview:
A prominent employer is seeking a skilled Process Improvement Engineer. This role demands adaptability to extensive travel during the initial phases of plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate engineering activities within manufacturing processes, focusing on Final Assembly.
- Propel ongoing enhancements in safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Utilize engineering methodologies and analytical skills to refine manufacturing workflows and products.
- Formulate action plans to address and prioritize quality issues, ensuring effective corrective measures are implemented in both internal and supplier processes.
- Conduct ergonomic assessments and implement necessary corrective actions.
- Investigate root causes of scrap in production cells and arrays, engaging in mapping and corrective strategies to minimize waste.
- Develop process documentation and instructional materials that support quality initiatives and operational processes.
- Play a pivotal role in addressing assembly-related challenges.

Additional Expectations:
- Lead initiatives aimed at reducing variability and promoting lean manufacturing practices.
- Ensure adherence to corporate, governmental, and environmental regulations.
- Support compliance with ISO 14001 standards and assist in internal ISO audits as needed.
- Identify operational efficiency and throughput limitations, driving improvements through root cause analysis.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Flexibility to support various shifts within a 7-day work cycle.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficient in 8D and 5Why problem-solving techniques.
- Familiarity with Lean Tools such as 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping.
- Knowledge of TQM and Kaizen principles.
- Experience with FMEA, PPAP, and Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Understanding of Visual Factory Management.
- Background in ergonomic analysis.
