Position Overview

The Facilities Manager will oversee the operations of the Third Party Manufacturing facilities team, ensuring that the site’s infrastructure and grounds are maintained in a clean, secure, and orderly manner. This role is critical in a medical device manufacturing environment that operates continuously, including cleanroom settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Third Party Manufacturers to manage the upkeep of the facility and grounds.
  • Oversee the performance of the facilities team and subcontractors.
  • Assess and determine requirements for cleaning, repairs, and preventive maintenance of buildings and equipment.
  • Coordinate with contractors and employees to ensure effective building maintenance.
  • Manage front desk operations, security systems, and building access controls.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental safety standards and provide necessary training.
  • Lead the Emergency Response Team (ERT) in adherence to regulatory guidelines.
  • Recruit and retain a diverse, skilled workforce while fostering a safe work environment.
  • Adhere to all relevant regulations, company policies, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with all stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in facilities management.

Preferred Skills

  • Extensive knowledge in facilities maintenance, particularly in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and cleanroom operations.
  • Experience in a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Ability to navigate a complex, matrixed organizational structure.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on goal-setting and constructive feedback.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage at various organizational levels.
  • Proficient in multitasking, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with accountability.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25%, including international trips.
