Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in conducting risk-based security evaluations and assessments of external vendors.
  • Perform peer reviews and sample testing to uphold a high standard of quality in risk assessments.
  • Maintain the risk assessment framework, ensuring it reflects the latest industry standards and emerging threats.
  • Coordinate with contractors, staff, and vendors to carry out assessments, test controls, and implement necessary remediation measures.
  • Gather and analyze data from diverse sources to evaluate a vendor's security posture.
  • Develop, enhance, and refine sustainable processes and measurement systems to ensure compliance with security policies.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management regarding vendor compliance status.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in technical risk assessment.
  • Proven ability to conduct complex assessments across multiple security domains, generate findings, and review remediation actions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Risk Management, or a related field, or equivalent technology experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a geographically dispersed environment.
  • Experience in a technical role with a solid understanding of security fundamentals, testing, and risk management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CISSP, CISA, or similar Information Security certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize automation to address recurring challenges at scale.

Our compensation reflects the labor market across various U.S. regions. The base salary for this position ranges from $107,400 to $229,700, depending on location and other job-related factors. Amazon offers a comprehensive compensation package, which may include equity, sign-on bonuses, and a full range of medical and financial benefits.
