Position: Director of Operations

Job Summary: GPAC is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director of Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations of our paving, site development, and pavement maintenance services. The successful candidate will ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Direct and manage all operational aspects of asphalt and concrete paving, site development, and pavement maintenance projects.
  • Project Oversight: Ensure projects are executed according to plan, including adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of project managers, supervisors, and field staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and implement best practices to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
  • Client Relations: Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans to meet business goals, including resource allocation, budgeting, and market expansion.
  • Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
  • Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements, integrating new methods and technologies to improve service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in operations management within the paving, construction, or site development industry.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities with a track record of driving operational excellence.
  • Project Management: Solid understanding of project management principles, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
  • Client Focus: Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing performance data and implementing improvements based on insights.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience Required: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an operations management role.
