JOB SUMMARY:

Under the guidance of the Chief Nurse Executive (CNE), this role is pivotal in steering the overall management and strategic direction of the addiction recovery division, catering to both youth and adult programs, in alignment with agency standards, funding requirements, and licensing expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

In collaboration with the Chief Nurse Executive, this position oversees the management of designated substance use disorder (SUD) programs for various age groups. The role serves as the primary contact for clinical oversight across all SUD initiatives.

Manage the administrative, operational, financial, and reporting aspects of assigned agency services. Budget Management – Ensure revenue and expenditures remain within the allocated budgets. Service Level Maintenance – Strive to meet or surpass established service commitments, census targets, and productivity standards necessary for budget fulfillment in assigned programs. Quality Improvement – Implement continuous quality enhancement strategies to pinpoint areas needing improvement and guarantee adherence to quality benchmarks, including but not limited to: Developing, executing, and enforcing policies related to consumer (patient) rights; Engaging in quality assurance for consumer (patient) care and evaluating staff performance. Outcome Achievement – Set and reach outcome goals that align with industry standards, contractual obligations, and agency expectations. Human Resources Management – Provide comprehensive administrative and clinical supervision to staff, including guidance for those pursuing licensure, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth, and maintaining staffing levels within budget to fulfill program objectives. Ensure proper orientation and training for new staff. Program Development – Identify and explore opportunities to enhance or expand current services to improve service delivery and address emerging needs. Responsible for building relationships and communication with facility personnel, support services, community resources, and clients. Seek new grant opportunities. Engage in direct clinical responsibilities as necessary within Addiction Recovery Services. Perform additional duties as assigned by the CNE or designated representative.

OTHER DUTIES: Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Nurse Executive.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Demonstrated knowledge and experience in applying evidence-based practices and best practices within a recovery-oriented framework in mental health and substance abuse settings.

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS: Oversee Program Directors and Supervisors of assigned clinical and substance abuse initiatives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s Degree in a Human Services discipline from an accredited institution. Minimum of five years of experience in programs catering to adults with mental health issues and substance abuse. At least three years in administrative and supervisory roles, encompassing responsibilities for hiring, budgeting, contractual relations, and program development.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Compliance with health screenings and fingerprinting as per regulations.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS NEEDED:

Must hold a license to practice independently in the State of New Jersey. Clinical NJ Licensure in good standing. Dual Licensure required - LPC/LCADC or LCSW/LCADC. Supervisory certification is strongly preferred. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.

Exempt/Non-Exempt: Exempt

Weekly Work Hours: 40 hours

Proposed Salary: $105,000 annually

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
