Pharmacy Manager Job Description

Giant Food Pharmacy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Manager to join our team. As a Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for leading our pharmacy team and ensuring the efficient operation of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Supervise and train pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and pharmacy performance.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Program Team to coordinate and execute off-site immunization clinics, health and wellness activities, and community outreach programs.
  • Accurately process prescriptions and manage inventory, ensuring proper adjudication of insurance claims.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy and/or Doctor of Pharmacy.
  • Previous experience in retail pharmacy, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong inventory control understanding and capabilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
