About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Coordinator to join our team at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health. As a Medical Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our children in care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and coordinate medical, dental, and other health-related appointments for children in our care
  • Ensure all medications are appropriately dispensed and medical appointments are recorded and checked against a Medical Appointment Log
  • Assist the Medical Contractor and Nurses with filing and other administrative duties
  • Report to the Registered Nurses for supervision and support
  • Ensure the US Medical Clearance Compliance Tracking document is current
Requirements
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English)
  • Minimum of a High School diploma/GED, Associate's preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents in a social service setting
  • Empathetic and team-oriented approach to care for our individuals
  • Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds and perform Safe and Positive Approaches
  • Fully immunized/vaccinated (or have a medical/religious exemption) for Varicella, MMR, TdAp, Influenza prior to starting
  • Must be 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards)
  • Valid driver's license
