Job Summary

The Senior Administrative Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to two Vice Presidents within Group Benefits at The Hartford. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complex calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating travel arrangements
  • Prepare and edit presentation materials, including PowerPoint presentations
  • Produce ad-hoc reports and manage special projects, including data analysis and recommendations
  • Initiate timely responses to correspondence, including emails and voicemails
  • Exercise independent judgment, escalating only serious or unique problems to higher levels
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company systems, including hardware and software enhancements
  • Schedule and coordinate new hire onboarding, role changes, and application access
  • Compile and distribute newsletters and other standard communications to employees, customers, and clients
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings, including Town Halls, on-site meetings, and agency visits
  • Perform office management tasks, including supply ordering, security badge administration, and printer management

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated record of accomplishment as a Senior Administrative Assistant, preferably with 5+ years of experience supporting executives
  • Bachelor's or associate degree preferred, but not necessary
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent calendar management skills, including coordination of complex executive meetings
  • Individual must possess a high level of initiative, be a self-starter, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to work on multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Efficiency and ability to prioritize are essential
  • Strong understanding of business requirements
