Position Overview:
Aultman Health Foundation is seeking a dedicated Billing and Collections Specialist to join our team. This full-time role focuses on enhancing patient account management through effective billing practices and insurance follow-ups.

Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in various areas of patient accounting, including:
1. Billing processes
2. Insurance collections
3. Customer service interactions
4. Cash posting
5. Administrative support tasks

The role requires a concentrated effort on billing and insurance collections utilizing advanced computer applications to expedite accounts receivable recovery. Responsibilities include:
- Improving cash flow and fortifying our financial standing.
- Ensuring systematic and timely follow-up on insurance claims and resolving accounts within assigned inventory.
- Documenting all collection activities in the patient accounting system.
- Maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Providing exceptional customer service to assist in account resolution.
- Effectively managing patient accounts receivable and monitoring aging reports.
- Handling inbound and outbound customer communications efficiently.
- Resolving patient accounts through payment collection and contractual adjustments by gathering necessary insurance or third-party information.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of two to three years of experience in billing and insurance collections.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Familiarity with claims review processes.
- Strong customer service skills and cash posting experience.
- Ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Team-oriented with a dependable attendance record.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
