Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our team at Regional Vascular & Vein Institute. As a key member of our billing department, you will be responsible for managing charge entry, claims submission, EFT and patient payments, collections, and follow-up on claim denials and accounts receivables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Charge Entry and Posting: Process and post payments and charges in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Claims Submission and Follow-up: Submit billing data and medical claims to insurance companies and follow up on claim denials and accounts receivables.
  • Collections and Patient Communication: Communicate with patients and insurance companies to resolve outstanding balances, review accounts, and prepare and submit billing data.
  • Account Management: Manage accounts receivables and patient accounts, including examining and investigating medical bills for accuracy and obtaining or correcting information.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Must have experience in posting insurance payments, personal payments, collections, billing office visits, and surgery charges.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with patients and insurance companies.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to interpret an EOB and resolve claims when required.
  • Soft Collections: Able to do soft collections and work the A/R.
