Position Overview:
The Front Desk Agent plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding service to all guests during their stay. This position is essential for maximizing room revenue and ensuring guest satisfaction from check-in to check-out.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide prompt and courteous responses to guest inquiries regarding services, amenities, and local attractions.
  • Adhere to all cash handling and credit policies to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of room rates, packages, and special promotions.
  • Stay informed about in-house groups and their specific needs.
  • Manage reservations effectively, ensuring all necessary information is collected.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with hospitality terminology and practices.
  • Understand emergency procedures and respond appropriately when necessary.
  • Facilitate check-ins and check-outs in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Utilize proper communication etiquette when interacting with team members.
  • Operate the Front Desk computer system proficiently.
  • Complete all tasks outlined in the shift checklist promptly.
  • Conduct regular checks to verify room rates and housekeeping status.
  • Prepare and balance paperwork for shift closure in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Promote and maintain guest programs and hotel promotions.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist guests with safe deposit box services.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of college coursework in a related field is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency in computer systems is necessary.
  • Experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Exhibit a warm and welcoming demeanor at all times.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with guests and colleagues.
  • Strong listening skills to address and clarify guest concerns.
  • Capability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Approach all interactions with a friendly and service-oriented attitude.
  • Maintain regular attendance as per hotel standards.
  • Adhere to high standards of personal grooming and uniform compliance.
  • Follow hotel policies and regulations to ensure safe operations.
  • Identify and address productivity challenges proactively.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills and initiative.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Willingness to cross-train in other hotel departments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Compensation:
$23.00/hr.
