Position Summary

The Housekeeping Room Specialist is responsible for ensuring that guest accommodations and communal areas are impeccably maintained. This role requires a friendly demeanor and the ability to address guest needs effectively, thereby promoting a positive image of our establishment.

Key Responsibilities

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Thoroughly vacuuming, cleaning, dusting, and polishing guest rooms.
  2. Performing detailed cleaning of bedrooms and bathrooms, ensuring all surfaces and fittings are spotless.
  3. Stripping and remaking beds, along with replacing towels and linens as necessary.
  4. Organizing and replenishing supplies.
  5. Exhibiting a positive attitude and professionalism during guest interactions, while accommodating specific requests.
  6. Delivering and collecting items requested by guests, such as cribs and rollaway beds.
  7. Maintaining the security and privacy of guest rooms.
  8. Executing routine cleaning tasks as assigned.
  9. Keeping pantries organized and stocked according to established guidelines.
  10. Restocking guest amenities, including toiletries.
  11. Cleaning corridors, including vacuuming and polishing mirrors and elevators.
  12. Reporting any maintenance issues or defects in guest rooms.
  13. Assisting with additional cleaning tasks as directed by housekeeping management.
  14. Upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and order in assigned areas.
  15. Supporting the overall efficiency and smooth operation of the Housekeeping Department.
  16. Performing other duties as needed based on operational requirements.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a similar cleaning role.
  2. High School Diploma or equivalent vocational training.
  3. Proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to stand, walk, handle objects, bend, kneel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Physical stamina is essential for cleaning multiple rooms during each shift.
