Position Overview

The role of a Cashier involves engaging with customers, addressing inquiries, and efficiently managing transactions. You will be tasked with processing payments, reconciling cash, and delivering exceptional customer service.

WORK LOCATION: Methodist Richardson Bush Renner Medical Center, Richardson, TX

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently operate a cash register/POS system and manage cash and credit transactions.
  • Welcome and assist customers while proactively addressing their needs.
  • Organize and balance the cash drawer, complete cashier slips, and perform deposits.
  • Comply with Aramark's cash handling protocols and procedures.
  • Possess knowledge of merchandise to assist customers and ensure accurate transaction processing.
  • Execute opening and closing tasks as designated based on operational hours.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic workspace during service and at the end of shifts.
  • Ensure that products are adequately stocked throughout service and replenish items as necessary.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Experience with cash handling is preferred.
  • Basic math and counting skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Completion of Food Handler and Alcohol Service training as required by the location.


This position may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing.

Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
