About the Role

BWX Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Treasury Analyst to join our team in Charlotte, NC. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing daily cash processes, resolving cash management issues, and providing financial analysis and reporting to senior management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily cash processes, including cash positioning, reconciliation, reporting, forecasting, and process improvements.
  • Resolve cash management issues in a timely manner while monitoring incoming requests from accounting and accounts payable business partners.
  • Assist the Treasury Manager with monthly cash forecast for the Treasurer and other Finance senior management.
  • Perform monthly bank account fee analysis highlighting variances and inconsistencies.
  • Assist the Treasury Manager with maintenance and enhancement of the Kyriba treasury management system and other department processes.
  • Maintain borrowing statements and loan reports for external and intercompany borrowings.
  • Identify cost-saving and profit maximizing opportunities within treasury operations.
  • Lead credit analysis, research, and reporting on customers and vendors.
  • Execute foreign currency trades and settlements.
  • Assist with high visibility reporting and analysis for the Treasurer and other senior Finance leaders.
  • Partner with broader Finance functions, including Financial Planning & Analysis, Investor Relations, Risk & Insurance, and Corporate Development on special projects.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration preferred.
  • CTP, CMA preferred.
  • Must possess at least one (1) year of relevant experience.
  • Naturally motivated to seek out answers, generate ideas, and develop new skills.
  • Ability to break down problems into meaningful parts, come to reasonable conclusions, and articulate accordingly.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and interested in process improvement.
  • Willing to adapt quickly to changes and manage multiple activities.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, including Excel (advanced), Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent collaboration, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Advanced analytical, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with treasury management systems/workstations (e.g. Kyriba, FIS, Reval, etc.).
  • Experience in preparing cash forecasts and cash flow analyses.
  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Advanced spreadsheet and modeling skills (comfortable with large data sets and advanced or complex formulas).
