In the Department of Children and Families, we are looking to appoint a leader in our Division of Foster Care. This full-time position entails a commitment of 40 hours per week, operating Monday through Friday, with expected travel across the state.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full-time commitment, 40 hours per week, 1st shift.
  • Monday to Friday schedule.
  • Location: Central Office.
  • Anticipated statewide travel.

Your Role: As the Program Director, you will oversee the staff within the Foster Care Division at both regional and central offices. Your responsibilities will include executing the agency's recruitment and retention strategies for foster care, aligned with the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) of 2018. This role also encompasses compliance with the Adoption and Safe Families Act (ASFA), ensuring that we provide high-quality licensed caregivers and achieve positive outcomes for children in care.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring consistent implementation of statewide foster care and adoption initiatives.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to team members, establishing performance standards, and monitoring outcomes.
  • Analyzing foster care performance metrics and developing comprehensive reports.
  • Managing fiscal responsibilities and budget oversight.
  • Overseeing recruitment and licensing processes for foster families.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and licensing standards.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitating change initiatives and managing organizational transitions.
  • Collecting and analyzing data to inform decision-making.
  • Preparing presentations and reports based on data insights.
  • Maintaining professional contacts that may influence departmental operations.
