About the Role

Ringside Talent is seeking a seasoned Business Development professional to lead our Technology Staffing division. As a Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of recruiters and working closely with clients to understand their talent needs, develop effective sourcing strategies, and ensure the successful placement of qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Generation: Identify leads for prospective clients through research, referrals from active clients, referrals from consultants, participation in industry associations, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Client Outreach: Establish and maintain relationships with prospective clients to introduce services and develop prospects into active clients.
  • Client Relationship Management: Leverage existing client relationships to acquire new leads and develop relationships with leads, moving them from prospects to active buying relationships.
  • Collaboration: Prioritize and collaborate on requisitions for recruiters to ensure best-matched submittals.
  • Client Engagement: Develop relationships with existing clients/contacts by maintaining regular communication with key influencers and hiring managers through email, phone, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Understanding Client Needs: Develop an in-depth understanding of each prospective and active client's business needs, company culture, and the specific needs and job requirements of each hiring manager.
  • Reporting: Report all activities and results in our ATS, daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven sales and account management professional with experience in the staffing industry.
  • Motivation: Fearless and self-motivated, excited and motivated by the opportunity to grow a book of business. You enjoy prospecting, generating leads, developing accounts, problem-solving, negotiating rates, and closing deals.
  • Sales Skills: Excellent sales skills including cold calling, hunter mentality, and proposal development.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills: verbal, listening, written (clear, detailed notes are a must), enrollment, and negotiation.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where client requirements can change frequently.
  • Resilience: Ability to deal with conflict, persevere, and be resilient in the face of setbacks and challenging goals.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members to develop a cohesive and collaborative environment.
  • IT Knowledge: Knowledge of IT job types.
