Retail Operations Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the formulation and execution of operational guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Flexibly engage in various roles within the workflow as required.
  • Oversee the activities of retail staff alongside the General Manager and management team.
  • Enhance performance metrics through exemplary customer service leadership.
  • Direct and manage the operations of the provisioning center and its team.
  • Deliver consistent feedback that empowers our team and fosters a positive work environment through effective communication.
  • Address and resolve employee and customer concerns, including complaints and grievances.
  • Achieve sales targets by training, motivating, and mentoring sales personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with security, inventory, and regulatory standards.
  • Analyze and report on purchasing trends, customer preferences, and profitability.
  • Propose innovative strategies to expand market presence.
  • Oversee financial documentation and cash management processes.
  • Educate staff on various cannabis products, including strains, edibles, and consumption methods.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of in-store products and industry-wide offerings.
  • Inspire staff to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager on performance evaluations, training requirements, and career advancement opportunities.
  • Ensure the retail space is maintained to the highest standards.
  • Support all management personnel as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in cannabis-related retail preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in Retail/Customer Service Management.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Successful completion of all required background checks.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in computer usage and quick to learn new systems.
  • Skilled in managing documents, spreadsheets, and email communications.

Physical Requirements:

The Retail Operations Supervisor will regularly work evenings, weekends, and holidays to fulfill the operational needs of our facility. This role requires the ability to move freely throughout the retail space, lift items up to 30 pounds, and spend extended periods viewing a computer screen. Frequent standing, walking, and reaching are essential components of this position.
