About the Role

Disability Rights California is seeking an Administrative Assistant I to provide administrative support to our Office of Clients' Rights Advocacy (OCRA) team. This is a full-time position located in the greater Los Angeles area, with a hybrid schedule that includes both remote and in-office work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage administrative processes, including electronic filing systems and report preparation.
  • Provide customer service, including greeting clients and responding to telephone calls.
  • Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and office supplies.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
  • Work collaboratively with the OCRA team to achieve goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to communicate fluently and write effectively in Spanish.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Effective telephone skills and ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's (AA) degree in a related field or equivalent combination of experience and/or training.
  • Specialized coursework or training in secretarial or business administration.
  • Experience working with and/or sensitivity to persons with disabilities and/or experience working with and/or sensitivity to persons from multi-ethnic communities.
