Position Overview-

As a Senior Project Manager at Jamail & Smith Construction, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our innovative projects. This dynamic position involves overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning to final inspection. You will be responsible for ensuring that project timelines are adhered to, budgets are maintained, and quality standards are upheld. Your expertise will be essential in managing daily operations, facilitating communication, and addressing challenges with professionalism and skill.

Key Responsibilities-

  • Oversee, plan, and coordinate project activities to guarantee timely project delivery.
  • Prepare and present proposal estimates, budget reports, progress updates, and cost tracking documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards throughout project execution.
  • Direct construction activities in accordance with job specifications for structures, facilities, and systems.
  • Investigate and resolve construction site incidents and delays to maintain adherence to established procedures.
  • Negotiate and amend contracts with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Implement quality control measures and environmental protection initiatives.
  • Communicate plans and contract terms effectively to stakeholders, including administrative staff, workers, and clients.
  • Conduct pre-construction assessments and feasibility studies, including cost estimating and sustainability evaluations.
  • Obtain necessary permits and licenses for construction projects.
  • Evaluate construction methodologies using computer models to enhance cost-effectiveness.
  • Supervise construction personnel and subcontractors to ensure project goals are met.
  • Address work procedures, complaints, and construction issues through collaboration with supervisors, owners, contractors, and design professionals.
  • Perform additional duties as required to ensure project success.

Qualifications-

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in commercial construction is required.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and experience in K-12 education construction is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in the commercial construction sector.
