KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and guide all stages of a Crew Systems initiative – from requirements gathering to design, prototyping, procurement, verification & validation, and production.
  • Accountable for project management, including defining scope and developing schedules.
  • Provide direction, collaboration, and support to internal teams, contractors, designers, and suppliers to ensure adherence to project scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Track and report on project progress, offering recommendations for process enhancements to management.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2-4 years of experience managing engineering projects (or a combination of education and experience).
  • Familiarity with the development and certification of spaceflight hardware is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Typically, this role is based in an office setting, but may require both indoor and outdoor work depending on specific tasks.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be eligible to undergo a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Management retains the discretion to select candidates at any level for which the position is advertised.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is mandatory for this role.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Job responsibilities may involve prolonged periods of sitting or standing (approximately 90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying items weighing up to 25 lbs. (approximately 5% of the time).
  • Utilization of standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).
