Position Overview
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will oversee the engineering functions related to the design of large-scale renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and energy storage, across North America. You will act as a primary liaison for project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical engineering insights throughout various project phases, from initial feasibility assessments to detailed design.
  • Coordinate engineering design activities with EPC teams or external consultants, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
  • Manage relationships with external engineering firms and subcontractors, as well as various engineering disciplines (civil, electrical, structural, etc.) to ensure optimal project execution.
  • Identify and mitigate critical risks and issues while adhering to corporate health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Monitor contractor progress and key project milestones.
  • Facilitate internal collaboration with Development, Engineering, Permitting, GIS, and Land teams.
  • Support procurement processes by assisting in RFP management for subcontractors.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and regulatory changes affecting the industry.
  • Travel as necessary for site evaluations, design reviews, and due diligence activities across North America.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with coursework in civil or electrical engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years in similar roles, managing renewable energy projects and developing standards and documentation.
  • Familiarity with the owner's engineer role and technical due diligence processes.
  • Understanding of commercial contracts and negotiation strategies.
Additional Information
  • This position supports a hybrid work model.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 40% of the time, including occasional overnight trips.
  • Compliance with company policies regarding health and safety is required.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $96,100 - $147,660 USD annually. Actual salary may vary based on various factors including experience and education. This role is also eligible for a competitive bonus/incentive plan.
