Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze customer agreements and project requirements to formulate a comprehensive scheduling strategy. Effectively communicate this strategy to the project team.
  • Collaborate with Control Account Managers (CAM) and Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads to assess resource requirements.
  • Lead the establishment and execution of the program baseline in accordance with Earned Value Management (EVM) System standards.
  • Oversee the scheduling process for the Integrated Baseline Review (IBR) across various programs.
  • Evaluate project timelines and generate detailed reports for both clients and management. Present schedule data as necessary.
  • Act as the scheduling expert for a range of programs, facilitating discussions to create project timelines and establish interdependencies.
  • Support technical teams in defining milestones and monitor compliance with the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) by identifying potential issues and proposing solutions.
  • Advocate for and implement scheduling best practices and process enhancements.
  • Align projects and operations with strategic goals in partnership with the Strategic Business Unit (SBU).
  • Assist the Program Management Office in meeting organizational objectives.
  • Identify programmatic opportunities and risks, along with their mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate planning efforts and establish baselines across the project portfolio.
  • Conduct scenario analyses for schedules in response to emerging issues, such as funding limitations and program implications.
  • Manage detailed production timelines and ensure integration with the IMS.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of proposal efforts within the project portfolio.
  • Maintain a consistent and reliable work schedule.
  • Foster effective working relationships within the department, Strategic Business Units, and the broader organization.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Work Environment:

This position necessitates regular in-person collaboration, requiring on-site presence three or more days per week.


Working Conditions:
Work is conducted in an office setting, laboratory, cleanroom, or production area.

Required Qualifications:
BS degree in a relevant field plus a minimum of 8 years of related experience. Advanced degrees (Master's or Ph.D.) may substitute for two years of experience each. Relevant technical experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. Degree must be from an accredited institution.
Proven experience in developing and maintaining schedules across multiple programs using Microsoft Project.
5 or more years of experience in an earned value environment.
Ability to collaborate with program teams to develop the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and establish activity dependencies that structure the IMS.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for continuous interaction with all levels of staff and clients.
Expertise in program schedule baseline setup and maintenance.
Experience in proposal schedule development.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
Familiarity with Microsoft Project Server environments.

Compensation Information:
Hourly Rate:
$45/hr - $61/hr. Please note that this range is based on market pay structures. Individual salaries are determined by various factors, including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
