Job Title: Maintenance Purchasing Specialist

The Maintenance Purchasing Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business. This position is responsible for conducting all business in accordance with our organization's policies and procedures, as well as adhering to best business purchasing standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create purchase orders and manage inventory levels to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Work closely with the inventory management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing items.
  • Monitor open purchase orders and search for cost savings opportunities.
  • Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and negotiate pricing with vendors.
  • Create new parts in L2L and assign part numbers, verifying prices on POs with order acknowledgements from vendors and adjusting costs as needed.
  • Expedite orders and track shipments, researching and correcting invoice issues with Accounts Payable and vendors.
  • Reconcile packing slips with purchasing orders and file, providing direction for runners on their daily schedule.
  • Drive continual improvement in quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Partner with all departments of the organization to achieve business objectives.
  • Assist with PM preparations and maintenance performance monitoring, performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience in a related position is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
  • Basic math skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Computer experience with Google (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides) and ability to work in a fast-paced environment of continuous change and challenges.
  • Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands and work extended hours and weekends according to schedule.
  • Must be able to problem-solve and pass a post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen, and physical.
