*Key Responsibilities*

Buyer

  • Develop and execute supply strategies to enhance cost efficiency, quality, and delivery for New Product Development (NPD) initiatives.
  • Prepare and revise cost estimates and quotations.
  • Support the accounting team with project cost summaries and various cost types.
  • Manage requests for quotes (RFQs) to assist stakeholders and NPD projects.
  • Ensure proactive supplier and procurement engagement throughout the NPD lifecycle.
  • Establish strong, value-driven relationships with suppliers, internal clients, and cross-functional teams.
  • Provide supply forecasts and schedules as needed.
  • Assist in minimizing inventory levels and reducing obsolescence.
  • Comprehend and communicate the terms of nondisclosure agreements and warranty contracts.
  • Collaborate with sourcing, planning, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Lead sourcing efforts for projects as necessary.
  • Notify sourcing management of significant supplier challenges and risks that may impact component supply.
  • Help maintain data accuracy across all relevant systems.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Material Planner

  • Oversee and execute the Material Planning function by managing inventory levels to meet forecasted turnover rates and scheduling needs.
  • Establish and maintain integrated processes among Operations, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing Services, and external suppliers to implement effective planning and replenishment systems.
  • Schedule and manage part change notifications (e.g., Engineering Change Notices) while minimizing obsolescence.
  • Handle overdue order management.
  • Reduce expediting times and freight costs related to inventory challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with management and key decision-makers across all functional areas to ensure a consistent supply of materials to various locations.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely material delivery to our facilities and dealers.
  • Engage effectively with individuals at all levels within the supplier's organization, from entry-level staff to senior executives.
  • Coordinate with Accounts Payable on invoicing matters as needed.

*Qualifications*

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 0 - 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to evaluate the economic implications of supplier tooling costs, lead times, and unit pricing.
  • Proficient in PC applications, including Excel, Oracle, PowerPoint, and SAP.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Preferred background in mechanical and/or inventory control.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions in English.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
