X-energy LLC is on the lookout for skilled professionals to join our Financial Planning and Analysis team in the capacity of Lead Financial Strategist. This role will be pivotal in supporting X-energy's business operations and US Department of Energy contracts, focusing on the preparation and analysis of corporate financial reports, cost accounting for indirect functions, and long-term financial planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide essential financial reports, analysis, forecasting, and support to the corporate office as needed.
  • Assist in critical month-end processes to ensure the accuracy and completion of monthly reports through detailed transactional research.
  • Support the posting of transactions to the General Ledger for indirect and corporate expenses.
  • Review and ensure proper cost account coding for subcontractor expenses, vendor invoices, and employee reimbursements.
  • Contribute to the development and management of tools for budgeting, forecasting, compliance, resource tracking, and analysis.
  • Analyze monthly and quarterly Profit & Loss reports, performing variance analysis and providing insights on trends and discrepancies against Budget/Forecast/Prior periods.
  • Generate precise Estimates at Complete.
  • Assist with federal compliance initiatives, including the analysis of direct and indirect rates, and the documentation and review of time and expense processes.
  • Support the annual budgeting process and long-term strategic financial planning.
  • Foster strong relationships and collaborate with business leaders to establish trust as a financial advisor.
  • Engage in other ad-hoc projects as assigned by the finance management team.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by the manager.
Minimum Education/Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in a dynamic or transformative environment.
  • Proficient in financial management.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong ethical foundation.
  • Technical proficiency.
  • Creative, hands-on, inquisitive, collaborative, highly driven, and self-motivated.
  • Proven ability to engage with team members and business units effectively.
  • Demonstrated track record of professional excellence.
  • Familiarity with FAR and DFARS regulations is preferred but not mandatory.
