Financial Reporting and Evaluation:
Prepare, scrutinize, and evaluate accounting records, financial statements, and various financial documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to reporting and procedural standards.
Conduct variance analysis and provide detailed explanations for significant discrepancies.
Budgeting and Projections:
Assist in formulating the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
Monitor budget performance and analyze differences between actual and projected figures.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and other pertinent standards.
Collaborate with external auditors to guarantee timely and precise completion of audits.
Maintain current knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulations.
General Ledger Oversight:
Supervise and manage general ledger accounting functions, including month-end and year-end closing activities.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure prompt resolution of discrepancies.
Accounts Payable and Receivable Management:
Oversee the processing of accounts payable and receivable transactions.
Ensure accurate and timely invoicing and collection of payments.
Internal Control Development:
Establish and implement internal controls to protect company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
Conduct regular reviews of accounting processes and procedures to identify opportunities for enhancement.
Team Leadership and Development:
Guide and mentor junior accounting personnel, providing support and direction as necessary.
Conduct performance assessments and identify training and development opportunities for team members.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a healthcare environment.
Strong understanding of healthcare financial regulations and compliance requirements.
Skills:
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Able to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
$80,000 - $90,000 a year
