Role Overview: The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of the production team. This position requires a proactive approach to managing personnel and processes to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of employees engaged in the production process, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Optimize the flow of materials through the production area by effectively utilizing manpower and equipment.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the department and implement actionable plans.
  • Manage the departmental budget, focusing on cost reduction strategies related to production and maintenance supplies.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Planning, Sales, Engineering, and Business Development, to foster effective working relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, work rules, and contractual agreements, while addressing and resolving work-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of time and attendance for all team members.
  • Coordinate with Group Leaders to align departmental activities and schedules.
  • Oversee inventory accuracy within the department.
  • Make informed decisions regarding production schedules and personnel matters that impact delivery and quality.

Expectations: The Production Supervisor is expected to uphold high ethical standards and consistently comply with all company policies and applicable laws with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proven experience in Lean Manufacturing, Project Management, and ISO standards.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply business mathematics to production and inventory scenarios.
  • Capability to tackle complex problems using logical and scientific reasoning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word, as well as familiarity with MRP/ERP systems.
