U.S. Tsubaki is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating the daily activities of assigned employees to ensure the achievement of safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and labor utilization goals.
Key Responsibilities- Production Planning and Coordination: Develop and implement daily production schedules, ensuring efficient material flow and optimal use of manpower and equipment.
- Team Leadership and Development: Supervise and train employees, providing guidance and coaching to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase productivity, reduce costs, and enhance overall department performance.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage department budgets, ensuring goals are met by reducing costs related to production and maintenance supplies.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with other departments, including Planning, Sales, Engineering, and Production, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Policy and Procedure Enforcement: Ensure compliance with company policies, work rules, and union contractual agreements, and effectively communicate these expectations to employees.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required. Demonstrable knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing, Project Management, and ISO procedures is essential.
- Business Acumen: Ability to comprehend and apply principles of business math skills as they apply to production and inventory management.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems, and effectively communicate solutions to employees and management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Internet Communications, as well as experience with MRP/ERP systems and measurement systems analysis.
