Key Responsibilities- Production Planning and Coordination: Develop and implement daily production schedules, ensuring efficient material flow and optimal use of manpower and equipment.
- Team Leadership and Development: Supervise and train employees, providing guidance and coaching to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase productivity, reduce costs, and enhance overall department performance.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage department budgets, ensuring goals are met by reducing costs related to production and maintenance supplies.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with other departments, including Planning, Sales, Engineering, and Production, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to company policies, work rules, and Union Contractual agreements, as well as applicable laws and regulations.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required. Demonstrable knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing, Project Management, and ISO procedures is essential.
- Business Acumen: Ability to comprehend and apply principles of business math skills as they apply to production and inventory management.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems, as well as understand and apply principles of logical or scientific thinking.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Internet Communications, as well as Measurement Systems and Analysis, Print interpretation, and MRP/ERP Systems.
