Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor is a key member of the U.S. Tsubaki Power Transmission, LLC team, responsible for overseeing the daily activities of assigned employees and ensuring the achievement of safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and labor utilization goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning and Coordination: Create and monitor daily efficient flow of material through the department by utilizing manpower and equipment in a manner that ensures optimal productivity and quality.
- Team Leadership and Development: Direct, coordinate, train, coach, and supervise assigned employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Continuous Improvement: Determine and implement continuous improvement plans for equipment and overall department to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and track yearly budget for the department to ensure goals are met by reducing costs related to production and MRO supplies.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Foster working relationships with associated departments, including Planning, Sales, Engineering, and Production, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Policy and Procedure Adherence: Understand, communicate, and follow all company policies, work rules, and Union Contract to ensure compliance and effective utilization of knowledge.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree Preferred but Not Required.
- Skills and Experience: Demonstrable knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing, Project Management, and ISO procedures is required. Ability to comprehend and apply principles of business math skills as they apply to production and inventory.
- Technical Skills: Microsoft Office Excel, and Word, Internet Communications, Measurement Systems and Analysis, Print interpretation, MRP/ERP Systems.
