Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for directing, coordinating, training, coaching, and supervising the daily activities of assigned employees that are directly and/or indirectly engaged in the production process of assigned products/departments/processes in manner that ensures that all safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and labor utilization goals are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning and Control: Create and monitor daily efficient flow of material through the department by utilization of manpower and equipment in the department.
- Continuous Improvement: Determine and implement continuous improvement plans for the equipment, and overall department.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and track yearly budget for the department ensure goals are met by reducing cost related to production and MRO supplies.
- Team Management: Foster working relationships with associated departments i.e. Planning, Sales, Engineering and Production, Business Development.
- Problem Solving and Decision Making: Analyze and resolve work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Inventory Management: Ensure department inventory is accurate.
- Production Scheduling: Make daily decisions on production schedules and personnel related matters that affect the delivery and quality.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree Preferred but Not Required.
- Skills and Experience: Demonstrable knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing, Project Management and ISO procedures is required.
- Business Acumen: Ability to comprehend and apply principles of business math skills as they apply to production and inventory.
- Problem Solving: Ability to understand a wide range of intellectual and practical problems by applying principles of logical or scientific thinking.
- Technical Skills: Microsoft Office Excel, and Word, Internet Communications, Measurement Systems and Analysis, Print interpretation, MRP/ERP Systems.
