Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to care for our elderly patients in a unique and supportive environment. As a member of our nursing team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with colleagues, and contribute to a culture of excellence and compassion.

About the Role

The Primary Care Nurse (PCN) works as a collaborative member of a Cottage nursing team, providing resident care for a specific group of residents. This includes administering medications, assisting with care and interventions, life engagement, supervision of team members, and coordinating referrals to other healthcare professionals. The PCN promotes a resident-directed care model, utilizing the cottage environment to enhance quality of life and a sense of belonging.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including administering medications and assisting with care and interventions
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of team members to ensure effective care delivery
  • Coordinate referrals to other healthcare professionals and services as needed
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Alaska Registered Nurse License
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6 months nursing experience in a healthcare facility
  • Supervision/leadership experience
